The design of the compute plate in the back of TRI’s (Toyota Research Institute) Platform 4 Lexus LS500 was the result of engineers and designers packaging the computing hardware into the smallest package possible to allow for more room in the trunk in the autonomous vehicle. This leather wrapped padded panel is lined with gray stitching has a programmable LED lit acrylic TRI logo. It can fold down to allow access for maintenance and modifications.
